Our Buckfast queens are bred according to the principles of Brother Adam – with the aim of promoting strong, calm and sustainable beekeeping.<\/p>\n

Mating takes place at a regional mating station, which is operated by the responsible beekeeping association as part of a VSH breeding program. There, specifically selected drone colonies with good hygienic characteristics are used. <\/p>\n

Controlled mating on a VSH hive guarantees targeted mating with drones from high-performance and hygienically selected colonies. This selection specifically promotes Varroa Sensitive Hygiene (VSH) in the offspring – a decisive advantage for healthy and resistant bee colonies. <\/p>\n
