Our island-mated Buckfast queens from the North Sea island of Baltrum are bred according to the breeding principles of Brother Adam – with the aim of promoting powerful, gentle and vital bee colonies.

Mating is controlled at the mating station on the island of Baltrum. The geographical isolation of the island enables targeted mating with selected Buckfast drones. This produces queens with stable and desirable characteristics for modern and sustainable beekeeping.
